Week 3 - Employment Life Cycle (Maintaining & Termination)

This weeks reflective journal / study guide looks at the Employment Life Cycle phases: Maintaining and Termination.

Your reflection could consider the following:

1. What did you find most interesting this week?

2. What are your thoughts on the case studies we have used and the 4 corners episode on Telstra's treatment of one of their employees?

3. Do you have any personal experiences from your own jobs? Have you had any staff training? Have you ever lost your job? How did you feel?

4. How do you think you would go in an interview or writing a job application?

5. Include a glossary of important terms for these phases.

6. What do you need to further research on this topic?

7. You could include a PMI data chart on the weeks work.

Week 2 - Employment Cycle (Establishment Phase)

This weeks reflective journal / study guide looks at the Employment Life Cycle (Establishment Phase) that we learnt this week.

Your reflection could consider the following:

1. What did you find most interesting this week?

2. A PMI Data chart on the establishment phase of the Employment Life Cycle.

3. Upload your mind map as an image of the Employment Life Cycle.

4. What do you need to further research to gain a better understanding of the topic?

5. Have you had any personal experiences of this phase (i.e. job applications, interviews) and how can you relate them to the material we have studied this week?

3. Different types of HR Managers and their roles

6. What are your thoughts about the benefits Google employees get? Reflect on the benefits for the employees and also the benefits for Google.
